Sarona
Sarona is the small community closest to Long Lake, and it punches above its weight for nature lovers. It is home to Hunt Hill, a roughly 600-acre nature preserve and Audubon sanctuary with about seven miles of trails, including the well-known Bog Trail, plus excellent birdwatching. The surrounding area is known for golf and miles of ATV and snowmobile trails.

When you are on the lake, the easiest meal in the area is right on the water. The Landing on Long Lake serves a full menu and bar with a view — come by car or by boat for a full pound of walleye, crispy perch tacos or a burger.
